The 2026 Knit Picks Big Sale is Here!

The 2026 KnitPicks Big Sale launched 11/3/2026 and will run through 11/19/2026. Every year there are rotating special offers in addition to hundreds of yarns up to 60% off hundreds of yarns. I've been tracking the sale over the last several years to see what kinds of special deals we get. (My favorites are free items with a specific purchase amount!) I adore the Big Sale because I buy a lot of KnitPicks yarn already for my own knitting and bare yarn for my yarn dyeing tutorials.

I'll try to update this post with new deals and discounts across both KnitPicks and Crochet.com so we have a record of what might happen in future years.

2026 KnitPicks & Crochet.com Bonus Deals

I'll try to have these in reverse timeline order so that you can find the most recent deals towards the top of the post. Please note that while there is a lot of overlap between KnitPicks and WeCrochet websites and the sale prices, they sometimes have differnet discounts and promo codes. Some of their inventory is also slightly different.

11/3-11/5/25 $2/$4/$6 Yarn Sale. This is a fan favorite sale where many yarns are HEAVILY discounted. There aren't always a lot of bare yarns, but there are a lot of really awesome ones. This sale is available on both KnitPicks and Crochet.com.

Black Friday 2026 - TBD

The Big Sale is the lead up to one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year - Black Friday. In 2024 and 2025 we got a 30% off coupon for Black Friday, and in 2021-23 we had 25% off coupons. We'll have to wait and see what happns for 2026, but the thought that we MIGHT get a coupon code helps me plan what yarns to buy during the Big Sale.

Big Sale Shopping Strategy

I mentioned earlier in this post that I LOVE freebies. Especially enamel pins, although we haven't seen those for the last couple of years as freebies during the Big Sale. I typically make a plan of the yarns I want to purchase on the first day, and then spread my purchases into smaller batches in case there is a bonus coupon code I want to take advantage of.

There is a LOT of bare yarn I purchase multiple times a year, and sometimes these yarns are discounted heavily during the Big Sale. How can I know will get the best possible deal? Normally I can buy this bulk bare yarn at a 15-20% off bulk dicount buy purchasing 20 skeins at a time. If we get a 20% off coupon for Black Friday (which stacks with individual mark downs), this means that I can a 32% off discount. If we get a 30% off coupon like in 2025, that is a 41% total discount! Therefore, I only focus on buying bulk bare yarns during the Big Sale if they are 40-60% off.

Of course, I have to balance this strategy with hoping the yarns that I need to purchase will still be in stock for Black Friday. For other discounted yarns, I don't bother waiting. (Basicially I'll wait on Stroll and Swish DK!)
