Spring is right around the corner, and I today I just launched preorders to the 2026 Spring Mini Skein Mini Series! Each of these miniskein sets will have 5 - 20 g miniskeins of yarn that are hand dyed to work together for a project. The colorways may be fades, gradients, or sets of coordinating colors. Each set will come wrapped with fun extras... and the dyeing will be featured in a special SMSMS event that starts on Monday June 15, 2026 on the ChemKnits Tutorials YouTube Channel.
This year I hope to have at least 4 different yarn dyeing videos in the SMSMS event. 3+ videos featuring dyeing miniskeins (and sock blanks!) and one bonus video dyeing a fun bonus colorway on a mermaid sparkle yarn. This event is differnet from Chanukah (where you unwrap a mini from each night of the series.) In SMSMS all 5 of your minis were dyed in the same video. If you order multiple sets, I do my best to send you sets from different nights.
WHAT ARE THIS YEAR's YARN BASES?
Make sure you check out the SMSMS listing itself for the full fiber contents and yardage. There are two DK weight options available this year (options A & B) . The rest of the yarn bases are all sock weight (C-K). There are two different sparkle yarns this year - Option F has a silver stellina and options J/K have the new iridescent mermaid stellina. (I'll be showing off this base more in the March early access video for ChemKnits Patrons.)

WHEN WILL THE VIDEOS BE RELEASED?
The 2026 ChemKnits Spring Mini Skein Mini Series will start in the evening of Monday June 15, 2026. One video will come out each night (6/15, 6/16, 6/17, etc.) The total number of videos is still TBD. Each package will be labeled with the date so you know which night you can watch me dye your yarn.

ARE THERE FULL SKEIN ADD ONS?
Yes! At this point, you will need to purchase a miniskein set to purchase one of the following fun add-ons. Each add on will come wrapped labeled with the date the video comes out and will come with a progress keeper. (I will do my best to send you bonuses from different nights as your miniskein set.)
You can add on a 100 g Yarn Mop dyed in one of the main videos:
You can add on a sock blank dyed in one of the main videos. This will feature a similar colorway to the miniskein set from the same night, but I will discuss the difference between dyeing fades/gradients on miniskeins vs full skeins in the videos.
You can also add-on a bonus 100 g skein dyed in a bonus video. This year this yarn base will feature the iridsecent mermaid stellina and is available on both sock and DK yarn weights.
