Red Sox Knitting Charts!

I love baseball, and I have been raised as a part of Red Sox Nation.

Fenway Park is so much fun, but so many of the games that I attend end up being rainy and cold, which means that I end up covering up all of my Sox gear. Who would be able to tell what team I was supporting?

My solution, make some Red Sox knits! I have not yet constructed hats/scarves with these logos, but I figured that I would make my knitting charts available for other Sox fans to enjoy.

I like the big "B" better, but it is a little large for many charts.

These Sox need some work still... Close but not quite there.

Feel free to use these charts for your personal use, but they are not to be sold or reproduced on another web page.© 2009 ChemKnits

  2. You are my hero!! Not only is my boyfriend a Boston Red Sox FANATIC, he's also a guitar playing chemist. Just in the few minutes that I've been reading your blog, I have been truly inspired to knit a bazillion different things. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  4. Thanks so much! My daughter said no more sweaters for my baby granddaughter until I knit a red sox hoodie with a front zip closure. I found it impossible to find one, until I found this chart! The next on my list is the hoodie with your logo.

  8. Perfect, I love it... thanks for sharing this, My 8 year old grandson has become a Big Sox Fan and I wanted to knit him a sweater with the colors of the team, now I can incorporate a B logo into the sweater as well...

  9. You're very welcome. I finally made (half) a pair of "Fenway Mitts" to keep warm at the ball park. I was bummed when I was there and saw some knit items with the "B" in the official store... but I like my charts much better!

    1. Hi Marny,

These are knitting charts, so you can put them onto whatever kind of fabric that you want (and with any kind of needles). If you are referring to the Fenway Mitts that feature the Red Sox Knitting Charts, then unfortunately I do not have the pattern adapted to a flat method.

      Cheers,
      Rebecca

    1. Lisa,

Ooooo... I'll have to think about that one. ;) I have friends who are Yankees fans, so I would not be opposed to making a Yankees themed project someday.

I do not want to end up making sports logos for every team out there, I'd prefer to make charts for teams that I have a personal connection to.

That being said, I will consider making a Yankees Knitting Chart someday.
